Sam Skjefte

Sam Skjefte is the sole face behind Farm x Faith Media (pronounced Farm by Faith Media), which began in March 2023 as a way for her to pursue her love for agricultural storytelling, while doing so near the community she grew up in. Since beginning the business, Sam has been able to see and meet the media and communication needs in industries beyond agriculture – such as healthcare, accounting, engineering and real estate.

Growing up on a row crop farm outside of Belview, MN, Sam began writing about and photographing her family’s farm while she was in high school. She then became interested in drone videography and website design during college. This love for capturing her family in their element led her to pursue a degree, and now a business, that would allow her to showcase agriculture and the beauty of selflessness and unity that comes with living in rural communities.

Sam graduated from South Dakota State University in May 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Communication and Agricultural Business, where she gained a tremendous amount of hands-on photography experience as an intern for the SDSU College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences Marketing and Communications team. SDSU and CAFES will forever hold a special place in her heart — Go Big, Go Blue, Go Jacks!!

When Sam isn’t behind the camera or her computer screen, she enjoys cruising around with her husband, Trent, and their black lab, Koe, in their 1978 Ford, going on walks, baking, studying scripture, and spending time with her family and friends.

Sam is excited to see the ways that God will use her to promote agriculture and provide communications services to small town businesses in her local communities!
