Meet Sam
Hi everyone! My name is Sam Skjefte, and I am the sole face behind Farm x Faith Media (pronounced Farm by Faith Media), which began in March 2023. At the time, it felt like God had closed nearly every other door, yet leaving this one cracked open. Looking back, it was so scary, but I firmly believe God has me here for a reason. This was my open door. When I contemplated starting this business, the words “love others well” kept coming to my mind. I’m not just here to help small businesses grow and promote their business, I’m here to share the love of Jesus and make time for the people and things that truly matter in this life. Praise God for his faithfulness!
How I got here:
I grew up on a row crop farm outside of Belview, MN, where I began writing about and photographing my family’s farm while I was in high school. During college, I became interested in drone videography and website design through my internships. This love for capturing my family in their element led me to pursue a degree, and now a business, that would allow me to showcase the heart behind every business. My goal is to help shed light on new ways to communicate with customers, promote the best parts of a business and challenge small businesses to do better.
In May 2023, I graduated from South Dakota State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Communication and Agricultural Business. While at SDSU, I gained a tremendous amount of hands-on photography experience as an intern for the SDSU College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences Marketing and Communications team.
Farm x Fatih Media is based out of Tyler, MN, where I work from my home office with our black lab by my side.
Life outside of work:
When I’m not behind the camera or my computer screen, I enjoy cruising around with my husband, Trent, and our black lab, Koe, in our 1978 Ford, going on walks, baking, studying scripture, and spending time with family and friends.
